Usability expert, Jakob Nielsen, has recently published a report on social features in the enterprise. What’s interesting to note is how social media initiatives are most successful when employees are driving the vision through underground efforts. These self-policing communities requires less management oversight and are more effective overall.
It remains to be seen how these companies can leverage on the undeniable power of social, as most of those interviewed are in the early stages of establishing footholds in their 3-5 year timelines.
